Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Finance Director, Regional Controller for the USA to lead US accounting operations from the Lake Forest/Irvine area. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in office, and reports to the VP of Finance for the Americas.

The successful candidate will drive close processes, ensure SOX and IFRS/US GAAP compliance, and shape the financial strategy for the US software business. We seek a seasoned leader with 10+ years in controllership, SCC/GAAP expertise, and a CPA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive controller experience in a global setting.
• Direct knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606.
• SOX compliant with risk assessment and governance.
• CPA or equivalent designation is preferred.
• Big4/public accounting background advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder communication with executives and teams.
• Proficient in ERP systems, especially Oracle Fusion.
• Experience in the software industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own US controllership including P&L, balance sheet and reserves.
• Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close with accurate reporting.
• Maintain robust internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Drive cost visibility and advocate cost efficiency.
• Ensure IFRS/US GAAP revenue recognition compliance.
• Own audit readiness and liaison with auditors.
• Coordinate cross-functional accounting with tax, treasury, and shared services.
• Develop high-performing controllership team with coaching.
