Job summary

Jobot in Houston, TX seeks a permanent Controller to oversee all financial management, corporate accounting, and regulatory reporting. The role includes budgeting, cash flow management, and development of internal controls.

You will lead the accounting department, including A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and treasury, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a senior accounting role, CPA/CMA preferred, and strong Excel and project-management skills to drive

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a senior accounting role with leadership experience.
• Proven Financial Controller experience in construction or HVAC sectors.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variances; ensure timely monthly close.
• Develop internal controls and policies; ensure regulatory compliance and tax filings.
• Lead accounting team; supervise payroll, cash flow, debt activity and audits.
• Support month-end/year-end close and prepare financial statements.
