Job summary

Vytl Controls Group in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the corporate controller in preparing and reporting financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

You will lead the accounting team, oversee daily activities, and drive process improvements while ensuring accurate month-end close, budget and forecasting, and timely audits. CPA preferred; MS Excel and D365 experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Audit, or Finance required.
• 7-10 years of Accounting related experience required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• D365 Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the controller with the oversight of all accounting functions.
• Manage and oversee daily team activities.
• Develop and train Accounting team.
• Present various accounting reports to top management and make observations and recommendations.
• Manage operational data and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Develop system controls for data integrity.
