Job summary

LeoForce in Houston, TX is seeking a Permanent Controller to lead the finance function and drive accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will implement controls, coordinate regulatory compliance, and collaborate with senior management to optimize cash flow and cost control.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and at least five years in senior finance roles, with strong GAAP knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a senior finance or accounting position.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; exposure to IFRS is a plus.
• Experience preparing financial statements, reports, projections, and forecasts.
• Experience with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the production of periodic financial reports; ensuring results comply with GAAP or IFRS.
• Directing and coordinating the company's financial planning and budget management functions.
• Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.
• Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and regulatory reports.
• Managing the preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts and monitoring performance against the budget.
• Coordinating regulatory reporting and tax compliance.
• Developing and implementing finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining internal control safeguards.
• Interacting with other managers to provide financial analysis and recommendations for planning initiatives.
• Ensuring records systems comply with auditing standards.
• Analyzing cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
• Analyzing financial statements to pinpoint weak areas.
