Schulte Hosptiality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Controller to join our team as Director of Finance for HGI/ Canopy Chicago Central Loop. This role leads all finance and accounting functions, ensuring GAAP/USALI compliance, safeguarding assets, and providing timely financials to executive leadership.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 5+ years of accounting leadership experience in hospitality, and ideally a CPA.

Qualifications

• GAAP and USALI knowledge applied to hotel accounting.
• Leadership of finance team and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP compliance and USALI adherence.
• Lead day-to-day accounting activities: AP, payroll, inventory, general ledger.
• Develop, issue and analyze monthly financials for executive leadership and Board.
