Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Little Italy, part of Schulte Hosptiality Group, seeks a dynamic Controller to oversee hotel finance operations and ensure GAAP/USALI compliance. This role leads payables, payroll, inventory, asset records and cost accounting, while providing strategic financial analysis for management and the board.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in accounting, 5+ years managing accounting in hospitality, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Five (5) years of accounting management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GAAP/USALI compliance across all hotel finance functions.
• Lead accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing and payroll activities.
• Provide monthly financial reporting for executives and the Board.
• Manage banking relationships and monitor data accuracy for revenue goals.
• Collaborate with external auditors, banks and insurers as needed.
• Serve on the executive leadership team guiding financial strategy.
