Job summary

G.E. Mechanical, LLC is seeking a Controller to oversee the accuracy of financial records and lead the Finance Department. This role drives monthly close, budgeting, and cash flow management while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, and strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction accounting or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems, including Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Finance Department with clear priorities and accountability.
• Serve as first level of escalation for Finance operational issues.
• Ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations, collections and accounting tasks move efficiently.
• Own the 5-business day monthly close with GL and intercompany reconciliations.
