Qualifications

• Freshman to Senior pursuing Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management or related field.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team player with quick learning and adaptability.
• Willing to commit to the 8-month co-op or 4-month internship.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Implement risk management principles, internal controls and policies.
• Assist with risk analytics and modeling for programs.
• Document contract standards for insurance and indemnification wording.
• Research trends in risk management, safety, loss control and claims.
• Maintain a comprehensive risk management framework and monitor risks.
• Coordinate loss control, insurance claims and litigation processes.
• Support 1st party claims with insurers or third parties.
• Oversee Insurance Certificate activity to support requirements.
• Assist in underwriting data for renewals.
• Coordinate treasury tasks and intercompany financial processes.
• Support payroll setup, invoicing and journal entries.
• Audit payroll vs timekeeping; assist unemployment claims.
