Herr Foods Inc. in Nottingham, PA seeks an Accounting Close & Financial Reporting Manager to lead month-end close, financial reporting, and standard costing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will supervise a team of four, drive process improvements, and partner with operations, supply chain, and finance leadership to deliver accurate results and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Strong experience owning and driving a disciplined month-end close process in a complex accounting environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of standard cost accounting, including setting standards, analyzing variances, and inventory valuation.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and GAAP requirements.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to translate findings into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage internal and external financial reporting requirements and supporting schedules.
• Own standard costing processes including setting standards and analyzing variances.
• Analyze manufacturing and inventory variances and partner with operations to improve accuracy and visibility.
• Coordinate close calendars and deliverables to ensure a disciplined close.
• Improve reconciliations, close documentation, and supporting workpapers to strengthen controls.
• Partner with leadership to enhance close, reporting, and cost accounting processes.
• Support audit requests related to financial reporting, close activities, inventory, and standard costing.
