Overview:

As the Finance business partner to the Global Marketing team, Rev Ops and Data Strategy, this individual contributor role provides finance management and support, including preparing the budgets, financial reporting and analysis of the spending.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide guidance and detailed reporting on expense management, productivity, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Directly access SAP and other financial systems to extract and analyze information.
  2. Complete monthly close and results reporting (with a focused review of performance versus Plan and prior periods). This includes analyzing data and preparing presentations to reiterate performance message.
  3. Prepare Quarterly Business Review presentations to the executive leaders of these teams. Must be comfortable directly engaging with executives and providing feedback effectively. This role will be a key advisor to the CMO and VPs – participating in dialogue and being able to convey ideas are paramount. Using data to concisely summarize complex topics and effectively influence executives is critical.
  4. Develops and implements annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts to accurately reflect current expectations of the business. This individual will monitor performance to ensure plan commitments are met and advise management on any actions needed to address identified risks and opportunities to their business plans.
  5. Continuously look to increase efficiency through process automation.
  6. Ad hoc analysis and reports, as required per business needs.

Requirements

  1. Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting.
  3. MBA or accounting designation (CPA) highly preferred.
  4. 7+ years of experience in FP&A or combination of financial positions that include FP&A.
  5. Proficient working experience in SAP required.
  6. Prior experience with partnering directly with Marketing or Sales executives preferred.
  7. Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint with experience building and managing complex financial models.
  8. Ability to work with large and disparate data sets from multiple sources/systems and simplify the information for intended purpose.
  9. Must be able to build relationships across functions and be influential to achieve results based on data and facts.
  10. Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while meeting deliverables under tight time constraints.
  11. Ability to act as a business partner to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and influence the decisions as it relates to financial impacts and business performance.
