Job description

The Finance Business Analyst serves as the primary functional applications partner for Finance, translating financial processes, business requirements, and data needs into effective enterprise application solutions. The role supports Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream, related finance integrations, and reporting processes from discovery through testing, release, and adoption. This position is expected to understand end-to-end finance processes, work independently with Finance stakeholders, use advanced Excel to analyze and transform data, and help ensure application changes improve financial controls, process efficiency, data quality, and reporting reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Business Analyst for Finance application processes and initiatives, partnering with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Operations, and technology teams to understand priorities and business outcomes.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state processes for record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, close, and management reporting as applicable to the organization.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, process flows, business rules, data definitions, user stories, acceptance criteria, control requirements, and implementation decisions.
  • Perform functional analysis and support solution design across Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream Consolidation, finance-related integrations, and connected enterprise applications while promoting practical use of standard platform capabilities.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and ensure approved business needs are carried through configuration, testing, training, release, and post-production stabilization.
  • Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing, financial reconciliation, regression testing, defect review, business validation, and sign-off for application changes and implementation releases.
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel to transform and reconcile data, build dynamic financial and operational models, evaluate scenarios, identify exceptions, validate system results, and present findings clearly to business stakeholders.
  • Analyze process, data, and application issues across Finance and connected systems; coordinate resolution with ERP, Integration, Application Support, vendors, and other technology resources as appropriate.
  • Maintain and prioritize the Finance application backlog using business value, controls, risk, dependencies, effort, and readiness; communicate recommendations and tradeoffs when priorities conflict.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, business procedures, training materials, release communications, testing evidence, and change-impact information that support adoption and reduce dependence on undocumented knowledge.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance systems, enterprise business analysis, ERP implementation, financial transformation, accounting operations, or related consulting. • UAT, reconciliation, and release coordination
  • Data analysis and business-rule definition
  • Cross-functional facilitation and prioritization
  • Process documentation and change support
  • Clear stakeholder communication
Preferred Skills
  • Strong functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics in a finance or ERP environment
  • Meaningful exposure to OneStream Consolidation or a comparable consolidation platform
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with emphasis on data transformation, dynamic modeling, scenario analysis, reconciliation, and clear presentation of business and financial information
  • QuickBooks, Sage, Power BI exposure is a nice-to-have rather than a core requirement
