Job summary

TIGI HR is seeking an experienced Technical / Functional Business Analyst to bridge business operations and technology within our Back Office Operations & Global Business Finance team. The role collaborates with Controllers, Finance, Operations, Product Owners, and Engineering to analyze processes and deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

Candidates must have Banking or Financial Services experience, preferably Wealth or Asset Management, and be comfortable in a consulting-to-full-time

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as Business Analyst; functional/technical orientation.
• Mandatory experience in Banking or Financial Services; wealth/asset mgmt preferred.
• Strong background in Back Office Operations and Finance Ops.
• Experience with reconciliation, controls, and accounting ops.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Controllers, Finance, Ops and Tech to map processes.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement sessions.
• Translate requirements into processes, specs, and user stories.
• Support UAT, test planning, validation, and issue resolution.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability from business needs to implementation.
• Identify risks and opportunities for operational efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical / Functional Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business operations and technology within our Back Office Operations & Global Business Finance team.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Controllers, Finance, Operations, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and deliver scalable enterprise solutions. This role requires strong expertise in back-office finance operations, reconciliation processes, operational controls, and stakeholder management.

Candidates must have experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain, preferably within Wealth Management or Asset Management organizations.

This position begins as a consulting engagement with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

• Partner with Controllers, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to understand business processes, operational challenges, and control requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement gathering sessions.
• Analyze existing business workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Translate business requirements into:
• Business Process Flows
• Functional Specifications
• User Stories
• Acceptance Criteria
• Data Requirements
• Maintain end-to-end traceability between business requirements, technical implementation, and delivered functionality.

Back Office & Finance Operations

Work on enterprise platforms supporting:

• Cash Reconciliation
• Position Reconciliation

• Exception Management
• Approval Workflows
• Accounting Operations

Product & Technology Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams to clarify business requirements and prioritize development work.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test planning, business validation, and issue resolution.

Process Improvement

• Document current and future-state business processes.

AI Productivity

• Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, and similar technologies to improve:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as a:
  • Business Analyst
  • Functional Business Analyst
  • Technical Business Analyst
• Mandatory experience in Banking or Financial Services , with preference for Wealth Management or Asset Management organizations.
• Strong exposure to Back Office Operations, Controllers, or Finance Operations.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
