Job summary

QTS is seeking a Business Analyst with Capital Markets expertise to partner with application teams migrating to Aperture. You will translate complex business needs into clear requirements and use cases, and collaborate across platforms to ensure alignment with program goals.

You should have 5+ years of BA experience in financial services, strong data analysis skills (SQL/Tableau/Python) and experience with Waterfall, Iterative and Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets.
• Experience with requirements management on large projects.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Iterative and Agile delivery methods.
• Data analysis expertise using SQL, Tableau or Python.

Responsibilities

Business Analyst with Capital Market

Job Description:

Requirement Analysis and Documentation

• Engage and partner with QTS application teams moving onto the Aperture platform to understand their analytical use-cases/ business goals and confirm product fit
• Facilitate information gathering sessions including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives - From these information sessions, gathers the requirements and documents them, along with business use cases, feasibility analysis and cross functional diagrams as needed
• Partner with the platform engineering teams to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are well understood, identify dependencies and integration points
• Work with senior stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs and ensure system specifications meet the business stakeholders’ expectations/requirements, and negotiate solutions when appropriate

Data Analysis

• Analyze incoming data sets and develop detailed requirements around sourcing solutions, identify provisioning requirements, data transformations etc.
• Able to decipher compliance, information security guidelines and apply them in the context of the datasets/ business requirements. Identify data accuracy requirements, solution options and remediation plans in case of a breach

Must Have:

• Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets, excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with complex software products (preferably cloud/ data analytics focused)
• Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
• Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
• Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation including Data analysis expertise (e.g., using SQL, Tableau, or Python)
