Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking a finance professional responsible for daily financial reporting and analysis within the department. You will collect, analyze and summarize account information, prepare monthly statements, and support budget planning and expenditure approval.

This role requires attention to detail, integrity with confidential information, proficiency in MS Office, and strong communication. You will supervise junior staff, mentor teammates, and contribute to year-end reporting

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of related accounting or business experience.
• Knowledge of administrative compliance, financial reporting and budgeting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
• Makes recommendations based on analysis of reserves, assets and expenditures.
• Oversees monthly account balancing, reconciliations and records management for department accounts.
• Researches and analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure proper recording; maintains general ledger.
• Tracks faculty time and salary information across categories.
• Assists with effort reporting, FTE and time card accountability.
• Assists with annual budget preparation and development.
• Hires, supervises, mentors, evaluates and assigns work to junior staff.
