Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) is seeking a Finance BI Visualization Lead in Virginia Beach to enable enterprise reporting, analytics, data integrity, dashboard creation, forecasting, and BI tool development for financial systems. You will translate complex financial data into actionable insights and serve as the Financial Systems BI Product Owner, guiding backlog and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Three years of BI, data analysis, or financial systems experience.
• Experience building dashboards and analytic reports.
• Understanding of data governance and UAT processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate new metrics, reports and documents within the BI solution.
• Manage data governance for BI and Planning data platforms; ensure data integrity.
• Analyze trends, forecast financials and identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop end-user documentation for BI usage and testing.
• Act as Financial Systems BI Product Owner, manage backlog and align stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into backlog entries and specifications.
• Lead BI backlog and release management meetings for finance.
• Prioritize and manage BI backlog changes and feature requests.
• Train customers and end-users on BI processes and functionality.
• Satisfy data calls by extracting and delivering data from finance systems.
• Maintain data integrity and support data quality initiatives.
• Lead BI user acceptance testing of new features.
• Develop reporting enhancements and analytics documents.
• Liaise with partners and SMEs for data integrity and process improvements.
• Create, document and manage testing efforts for projects.
• Communicate planning objectives, timelines and provide user support.
• Use Excel extensively to develop spreadsheets for analytics.
• Coordinate upgrade communications with stakeholders.
