Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies seeks a Principal Finance Data Engineer to design and maintain finance dashboards and data models, enabling critical planning, forecasting, budgeting, and executive decision support. Lead standardization of data definitions and governance, delivering reliable analytics across Finance and IT.

The role partners with Finance leadership to translate complex requirements into actionable insights, supports month-end close and annual budgeting, and improves reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in finance BI, financial reporting, FP&A analytics, data management, or related fields.
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using modern BI tools.
• Experience with ERP, enterprise finance data, financial hierarchies, master data, and data governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain finance dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions for FP&A, accounting, cost controlling, revenue, margin, and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance leaders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights for planning and forecasting.
• Establish standardized financial KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and business rules for consistent Finance reporting.
• Support month-end close, forecast cycles, annual budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting through automated solutions.
• Improve Finance reporting efficiency and data quality, with governance and auditability.
