Job summary

Metropolis Technologies is seeking a Director, Business Intelligence – Finance to own the vision, strategy, and execution of the Finance BI function. You will build and lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, data scientists, and analysts to deliver trusted data and actionable insights.

Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to translate strategic priorities into data infrastructure investments, develop predictive analytics, and oversee board‑level reporting.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in Data Engineering, BI, Data Science, or FinTech.
• Four+ years leading data teams and scaling orgs.
• Executive presence with data storytelling for business actions.
• Strong foundation in modern Finance data stack and cloud platforms.
• Experience building AI/ML-augmented finance analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own the Finance BI strategy and multi-year data roadmap.
• Hire and develop the first BIEs, data scientists, and analysts.
• Develop predictive modeling, anomaly detection, and driver-based forecasting.
• Partner with CFO and exec leadership to translate priorities into data investments.
• Govern intake, prioritization, and delivery for Finance data work.
• Drive finance data governance and authoritative metrics.
