Job summary

Google in Mountain View is seeking a Finance Business Intelligence Analyst to help ensure sound financial decisions across multiple products. You will build reporting pipelines and dashboards to transform data into actionable insights for leadership.

You will partner with the Controllership team to translate analyses into presentations, support forecasting and month-end processes, and maintain data infrastructure for financial reporting using SQL and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, quantitative analysis, or a related field.
• Experience programming with SQL and an additional programming language (e.g., R, Python, or JavaScript).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in data analysis, software development, technical business analysis, or IT project management.
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Data Studio) to model, transform, and visualize data.
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize reporting pipelines and data infrastructure to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.
• Develop reports, queries, and dashboards by creating complex SQL code to access and consolidate information from various data sources.
• Provide ongoing support for data users, including the maintenance of reports, queries, dashboards, and troubleshooting end-user access issues.
• Partner closely with the Controllership team to identify data sources, validate data anomalies, and translate metrics into formats that enable teams to derive information for month-end activities.
• Train and support the Controllership team to query system financial data and participate in BRD creation.
