Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Solid software design principles and patterns.
• Experience or education in Finance/Accounting domain.
• Ability to communicate with finance/business users.
• Backend development experience in enterprise environments.
• SQL Server proficiency.
• Unit testing with Pytest or Unittest.
• Experience with Jenkins, Flyway, Git, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Python backend applications for finance and accounting automation.
• Work within an existing system and apply established patterns and architecture.
• Translate business requirements from Finance & Accounting and Capital users into technical solutions.
• Participate in requirements discussions and proof‑of‑concepts as needed.
• Communicate technical decisions, recommendations, and limitations clearly to business users.
• Perform some business/analyst responsibilities alongside development.
• Work with deterministic calculations and financial adjustments; no modeling required.
• Develop and maintain backend services using existing infrastructure.
• Write unit tests and follow testing practices.
• Work with SQL Server and support database development.
• Participate in CI/CD and version-control using Jenkins, Flyway, and Git.
• Manage development tasks and requirements through Jira.
