Job summary

Orion Placement in New York, NY is seeking a transactional finance attorney to manage and participate in all aspects of finance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing. You will represent lenders and borrowers in senior and mezzanine debt transactions tied to private equity acquisitions, supervise junior associates, and contribute to business development and client relationships.

Candidates should have a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3+ years of finance transactional experience.
• Significant experience structuring, documenting, and closing financing transactions.
• Experience representing lenders and borrowers; experience on both sides strongly preferred.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work on sophisticated financing transactions involving private equity acquisitions, senior debt, and mezzanine debt.
• Represent both lenders and borrowers across complex middle-market transactions and varied industries.
