• Monitor financial performance by reviewing account balances, identifying variances or anomalies, and providing insights to support operational decisions.
• Perform corrections and adjustments within the University’s financial systems, maintaining a high standard of data integrity.
• Develop and maintain financial records and documentation to support internal controls and audit requirements.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and financial analyses that support leadership decision‑making and operational planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot accounting issues, streamline processes, and recommend workflow improvements.
• Participate in training sessions and regular meetings to stay current on evolving policies, procedures, and financial system enhancements.
• Other duties may be assigned to support the mission of Facilities Management.

In this role, you will serve as a key partner in monitoring financial performance, analyzing data across major operational programs , and ensuring the accuracy of transactions in UVA’s financial and project management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Office applications, or equivalent.
• A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

This position is based in Charlottesville, VA and there is an on‑premise expectation of at least 4 days per week.

Compensation range of between $50k and $55k per year, based on education and experience.

This position will remain open until filled. This is an exempt level, benefited position. The University will perform background checks on all hires (if required) prior to employment. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. For this role, the University will not sponsor or consider candidates requiring sponsorship for employment visas now or in the future.

Physical Demands:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
