Job summary

Grant Morgan is seeking a detail-oriented financial professional for a role supporting accounting operations, financial and investment analysis, and tax matters within a multi-entity private investment group. This hands-on position offers exposure to senior leadership and a high-visibility environment.

The Associate will work closely with the Vice President, engage in special projects, and collaborate with external advisors and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant areas.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance, investment management or accounting.
• Proficient in Excel; exposure to Sage Intacct, Addepar or similar ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of asset allocation, cashflow analysis and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP to perform accounting operations.
• Conduct financial and investment analysis; assist with tax matters.

Job description

Our client, a complex, private investment group/family office based in Bethesda, Maryland seeks a detailed financial professional to get involved in a variety of financial and analytical activities including accounting, financial analysis and special projects. This is a hands-on role with high visibility to senior leadership that will work closely with the Vice President – Financial Services Given this, the successful person will be exposed to and have the opportunity to work on interesting and unique projects in addition to being responsible for accounting matters and financial analysis. They seek a bright, responsible, detailed, trusted person who is a quick learner who understands the importance of this right-hand, detailed position to the team and the group. Position:

This role involves partnering with the Vice President to perform a variety of duties including accounting operations, financial and investment analysis, assistance with tax matters, special projects and other diverse financial related duties in in this multi-entity diverse private investment group. The Associate will collaborate closely with other staff and interact closely with external advisors, investment managers and consultants. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and discretion when managing highly confidential financial and personal information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant areas.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance, investment management or accounting.
• Highly proficient in Excel, exposure to Sage Intacct, Addepar or similar ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of basic financial concepts including asset allocation, cashflow analysis and portfolio management.
• Individual must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with ever-changing deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, poised, well-polished, and able to take direction and learn quickly.
• Interested candidates should be a self-starter and a team player who is energetic with strong interpersonal skills and detail oriented. Someone who is interested in taking on more and learning.
