Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join its real estate finance team in a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX. You will support month-end and quarter-end close, prepare financial statements, and assist with SEC filings in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and 3+ years of audit or accounting experience in financial services. Experience with Workiva or Yardi is a plus and SEC-related work awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of audit and/or accounting experience at financial services firms (Big 4 experience a major plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Real estate/mortgage and debt instrument accounting experience a plus.
• Workiva and Yardi experience a plus.
• CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations across the investment portfolio, bank/cash, and intercompany accounts.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements - balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management summaries.
• Support preparation of quarterly SEC filings, including Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks, and earnings releases.
• Build relationships across internal deal, asset management, securitization, tax, investor relations, legal, and capital markets teams.
• Interface with internal and external auditors.

JCW is recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing alternative asset manager on a search for a dynamic accounting professional to join their real estate finance team. This role sits within a publicly traded platform and offers strong exposure to SEC reporting, investment portfolio accounting, and cross-functional work with deal, asset management, securitization, tax, and capital markets teams. This is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX.

What You'll Do
