Job summary

Advance Kids Group is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Department in Sacramento, CA. The role supports accounting, payroll, and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality across financial operations.

The ideal candidate has five years of bookkeeping experience, strong QuickBooks and MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position with full benefits and a collaborative leadership team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Experience handling AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GL transactions in QuickBooks.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and integrity of accounting systems.
  • Process vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and deposits; manage petty cash.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll; handle employee reimbursements and 401(k) contributions.
  • Support CFO with reports, correspondence, and records management.
