Scion Staffinghas been engaged to conduct a search for a Finance and Human Resources Associate for our client inOakland, CA. This is a full-time, direct hire position with benefits!

Position Overview

This exciting opportunity oversees and coordinates the organizations financial planning, business functions, HR services, IT systems, and facilities operations. The Finance and Operations Associate plays a crucial leadership role, offering financial expertise to support the schools fiscal integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Business Operations to ensure internal controls, policies, and asset protection.
  • Oversee business functions like tuition, accounts payable, payroll, HR, and compliance, in collaboration with auditors.
  • Manage accounting tasks (A/P, A/R, month-end close) and assist with year-end financial close and tax filings.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Board, support budgeting, and contribute to multi-year financial planning.
  • Administer HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and workers comp audits, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Coordinate facilities services, manage emergency procedures, and organize safety drills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3+ years of financial and business management experience, ideally in a non-profit or independent school
  • Familiarity with accounting policies, procedures, and QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of HR management, benefits, and policy administration

Compensation

This position offers an annual salary of $85,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package!
