OpenTrain AI, Inc. is seeking a Finance and Accounting AI Task Design Expert for a remote, part-time contract role. You will design realistic finance and accounting tasks to test AI on FP&A, reporting, audit, and reconciliation work, with a focus on professional judgment, careful analysis, and clear standards.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of FP&A, financial reporting, audit, reconciliations, or accounting with direct ownership.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to reason across multiple documents.
• Experience creating or applying structured review standards (audit programs, checklists, rubrics).
• Ability to translate professional finance judgment into clear instructions and grading criteria.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent helpful but not required.
• Experience evaluating AI outputs against defined criteria is useful but not required.

• Design multi-step tasks based on FP&A analysis, financial reporting, audit procedures, reconciliations, and related accounting workflows.
• Write clear instructions and grading criteria to ensure two reviewers reach the same decision.

The Work

You will turn real finance and accounting workflows into difficult, realistic tasks used to evaluate AI systems. Your work will focus on professional judgment, careful analysis, and clear standards rather than simple information lookup.

You will create tasks from authentic finance materials and refine them until qualified reviewers can assess AI-generated answers consistently.

What It Pays And Takes

This is a fully remote, project-based contractor engagement. Work is organized around approved tasks, with approximately 10 hours associated with each task.

• $40 to $90 per hour.
• Fewer than 20 hours per week.

• Professional fluency in English at an advanced B2 or C1 level.
• At least five years of hands‑on responsibility in FP&A, financial reporting, audit, reconciliations, or accounting, with direct ownership of the work.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort reasoning across several documents at once.
• Experience creating or applying structured review standards, such as audit programs, review checklists, close checklists, grading rubrics, or training assessments.
• Ability to turn professional finance judgment into clear, objective instructions and grading standards.
• A CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent credential is helpful but not required.
• Experience evaluating AI or large language model outputs against defined criteria is useful, but prior AI experience is not required.
