Job summary

Standard Calibrations, Inc. (SCI) seeks a Finance & Analytics Manager to lead the next phase of our Accounting and Finance function, working with the retiring Controller during a 6–9 month transition to learn processes, systems, history and institutional knowledge.

This role will strengthen FP&A, BI and financial reporting, advance data governance and leverage SCI’s data lake and AI initiatives to improve decision making across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with government contractual work.
• Meaningful FP&A experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with BI, dashboards, data analytics.
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist transition by learning SCI’s processes, systems, and institutional knowledge.
• Develop and leverage FP&A, BI, and data strategy with CFO/CIO.
• Own month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain GAAP-based accounting practices and internal controls.
• Support financial and compliance requirements for government work.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling.
• Build relationships with owners and C‑Suite leaders.
• Develop BI reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
• Help expand data governance and use of data lake for decisions.
• Mentor Accounting & Finance team post-transition.
• Create financial models for budgeting and long-term planning.
