Maximus is seeking a Lead Finance and Accounting Analyst to drive financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic analysis within a complex shared services environment. This role leads monthly close activities and delivers executive dashboards with actionable insights for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with large data sets, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with PowerBI data visualization.
• Experience with large, complex data sets and multiple financial systems.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement mindset with automation experience.
• Able to support cost allocation models or internal service orgs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&L analysis and variance to forecasts.
• Review reconciliations and billing/submissions for accuracy.
• Track accounts receivable and quarterly revenue adjustments.
• Support quarterly forecasting cycles and pricing initiatives.
• Develop monthly dashboards with variance analysis for leadership.
• Mentor and train junior financial analysts.
• Lead cost allocations and accruals across data sources.
• Assist in audits and maintain controls documentation.
