BRIDGE IN is a bootstrapped, profitable startup offering payroll, accounting, legal, and compliance services across Portugal, Spain and Italy. The Finance Analyst Internship provides hands-on responsibility for close, forecast, and reporting across three countries from day one.

You will work with modern automation tools, supporting the monthly close, KPI dashboards, and budgets while building real ownership in a growing finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field.
• Based in Portugal, under 35 and eligible for +Talento IEFP program.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, written and spoken.
• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets including lookups and pivots.
• Rigorous, self-motivated, capable of independent work.
• Comfort with ambiguity and initiative to drive results.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly/quarterly close and build reporting packs for Portugal, Spain and Italy.
• Own recurring reporting: KPI dashboards, cash position, revenue by market.
• Assist with forecast and annual budget; track variances and explain differences.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies; present findings clearly.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure regulatory compliance and policy adherence.

Most finance internships in Portugal are an education in one spreadsheet. You reconcile the same accounts for six months, you never see how the number got there, and nobody tells you why it matters. This is not that. BRIDGE IN is bootstrapped and profitable, which means every euro has to make sense to somebody, and often that somebody will be you. You will work on the real close, the real forecast, the real models, and the real numbers that decide what we do next, across three countries and a client base spread over 35+ countries. What You'll Be Working

• Supporting the monthly and quarterly close, then building the reporting packs that show how Portugal, Spain, and Italy are actually performing;

• Owning recurring reporting over time, including KPI dashboards, cash position, and revenue by market;

• Working on the forecast and the annual budget: helping build them, then tracking actuals against plan and explaining the variances;

• Digging into financial data to spot trends, margin leaks, and anomalies, then bringing them to management in plain language;

• Working alongside our accounting team to keep us compliant with local financial regulations and with our own internal policies;

• Preparing documentation and reports for audits, due diligence, and client-facing financial requests, with guidance at first and increasing autonomy over time.

Who You Are

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or a related field;

• Based in Portugal, under 35 years of age, and eligible for the +Talento IEFP program;

• You are fluent in Portuguese and English, written and spoken, and can explain a number to someone who is not a finance person;

• You are genuinely comfortable in Google Sheets: lookups, pivots, clean model structure, and formulas someone else can follow up;

• You are rigorous. You tie things out, you check twice, and you would rather flag a discrepancy early than have it surface in a client meeting;

• You do not need someone to follow up with you twice. You manage your own workload;

• You are comfortable with ambiguity and can make reasonable judgment calls;

• You see AI and automation as tools that make your work sharper and faster, not as threats;

• Bonus points for international experience, personal or professional, and for any familiarity with Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian financial and tax rules.
