Job summary

Meritage Homes is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Dallas-Ft. Worth Division with comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The role involves budgeting, pro formas, and variance explanations to inform management decisions and land acquisition strategies.

The position emphasizes collaboration across departments, accurate reporting, and the ability to translate complex numbers into actionable insights for a growing, national homebuilder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
• JD Edwards and SAP/Business Objects experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the DFW team with financial analysis and reporting for Division operations and Land Acquisition.
• Review monthly financial statements, margin proformas, backlog reports, and key indicators.
• Assist in Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Business Plan preparation.
• Prepare supplementary reports and analyses for management.
• Assist with pricing updates, lot releases, and MLS updates.
• Prepare monthly lot takedown and pro forma updates with variance explanations.
• Coordinate monthly budget meetings with other departments.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
