Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers is seeking an Interfund Accountant to manage interfund reconciliations, cash pool aging, and reporting for City funds. You will lead monthly close, analyze trial balance activity, and prepare schedules for annual audits.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years of experience in high-volume accounting and ERP environments. GAAP proficiency and strong internal controls are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 5+ years in high-volume, complex accounting.
• Experience with large ERP environments and accounting systems.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor interfund activity and cash pool reconciliations.
• Support monthly general ledger close and financial reporting.
• Assist in annual fiscal year-end audits and PBC schedules.
• Develop internal controls documentation and policies.
