Job summary

ABB is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial insights for its assigned organization. The role involves compiling metrics, identifying trends, and recommending actions to improve financial performance.

You will analyze performance against budget/forecast, work with finance peers to understand drivers, and ensure proper documentation for audits. Collaboration with suppliers and internal customers is essential for timely payments and accurate payroll-related processes.

Qualifications

• BA in business administration with finance/accounting focus or equivalent.
• Experience in financial analysis and budgeting/forecasting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and SAP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Compliance with quality, HSE, HR policies and codes of conduct.

Job Summary:

Provides financial expertise to their assigned organization by compiling and analyzing various relevant metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance of a specific business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and accordingly proposes improvement actions.
• Works with other finance professionals to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance of the organization and identify trends.
• Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews.
• Reduce the amount of GR&I and blocked invoices and identify common issues
• Work with suppliers to and internal customers to ensure timely payments, with OCM being the specific priority.
• Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and verify that payroll is fully posted to the ledger.
• Estimate payroll using functional areas and verify that benefit accruals are being correctly recorded in payroll.
• Other requested activities that include but are not limited to Reporting, Payroll analysis, AI automation

Qualifications:

• BA in business administration (Finance, Accounting preferred)
• Experience in Financial Analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting frameworks
• SAP or other ERP systems experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comply with established standards, practices, and regulations from Quality (including ISO 9001); HSE (including ISO 14001); and Human Resources, including the Employee Handbook, Attendance Policy, Code of Conduct, among others.
