Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC seeks a Business Financial Analyst to provide financial expertise for the Electrification Distribution Solutions plant. You will compile and analyze metrics, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders. You will also recommend actions to improve financial performance for the business unit.

This on-site role collaborates with the Finance manager and operation value chain, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business, or relevant STEM field required.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing industry with a strong preference for electrical manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP modules FI, CO, MM, PS for manufacturing.
• Strong documentation skills with ability to create clear process flows, training materials, and technical specifications.

• Perform analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and propose improvement actions.
• Benchmark KPI performance with industry peers and analyze drivers of financial performance.
• Prepare financial modeling for hypotheses and overall impact to the business unit.

Your role and responsibilities

As the Business Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to provide financial expertise to our Electrification Distribution Solutions plant in Mebane, NC. Each day, you will compile and analyze various relevant metrics, identify trends and problems, and communicate information to relevant groups. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending actions to improve financial performance of a specific business.

This is an on-site position based in Mebane, NC.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in Mebane, North Carolina. Main stakeholders are Finance manager and operation value chain.

Accountability

• Performing analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and accordingly proposing improvement actions.
• Executing benchmarking of key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar businesses within ABB; and working with other finance professionals to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance of the organization and identify trends.
• Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business, or relevant STEM field required.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing industry with a strong preference for electrical manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office, Power BI, and SAP, specifically the FI, CO, MM, PS modules, specifically pertaining to manufacturing processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• You are passionate about and innovative around leading various functions namely Project Management, product costing, manufacturing operations processes
• Strong documentation skills with ability to create clear process flows, training materials, and technical specifications
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
