Job summary

ABB in Greece seeks a finance professional to provide financial knowledge to the assigned organization, compile and analyze metrics, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Operations, supporting reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data automation to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience in financial controlling, accounting, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP; data analysis tools.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive problem solving, process improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• English and Greek communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business performance vs budget and forecast; propose improvement actions.
• Collaborate with finance professionals to understand drivers of performance and trends.
• Build financial models for hypotheses and overall impact to the business unit.
• Support financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Validate data accuracy and reports through reconciliations.
• Prepare reports and presentations with findings and recommendations.

Finance Manager EL & EM

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide financial knowledge to your assigned organization. Each day, you will compile and analyze various relevant metrics, identify trends and problems, and communicate information to relevant groups. You will also demonstrate your knowledge by suggesting actions that can improve the financial performance of a specific business.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role contributes to ABB’s business operations in Greece, supporting financial analysis, reporting, and business performance improvement. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with the Finance team, Sales teams, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performs analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and accordingly proposes improvement actions.
• Works with other finance professionals to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance of the organization and identify trends.
• Prepares financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit.
• Supports the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization.
• Validates the accuracy of financial data and business information and reports through reconciliations and review of exceptions.
• Provides information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
• Optimizes their performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.
• Ensures processes and controls within area of responsibility, are designed and implemented in line with internal policies and regulations.
• Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews.
• Participates in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives, improving data quality, standardization, and optimization of financial processes through data analysis, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly skilled in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with a solid understanding of financial performance drivers.
• You have demonstrated experience in financial controlling, accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
• You possess advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, as well as financial reporting and data analysis tools.
• You have an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement.
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• You are comfortable communicating in English and Greek, both verbally and in writing.
• You demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
