UCSF Health seeks a Financial Analyst to perform complex financial analysis across several clinics and divisions, applying policy knowledge and data-driven insights. You will work with limited supervision on diverse problems requiring consideration of multiple factors.

You will assist with annual budget preparation, monitor deficit balances, and contribute to financial reporting. The role emphasizes internal controls, reliability, and teamwork within a university setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related area or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel to create spreadsheets.
• Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.
• Knowledge of UC accounting, purchasing, and reimbursement.
• Experience working in an academic environment.
• Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.
• Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
• Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail.
• Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to function as a member of a team.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
• Demonstrated record of reliability and excellent attendance

Job Description

This individual uses advanced skills and has experience managing high-volume, complex transactions that require a full understanding of policies and procedures. They will work independently on problems of diverse scope where data analysis considers multiple factors. They will assist the supervisor in annual budget preparation and monitor and resolve deficit balances.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Prior Experience with BearBuy, MyExpense, UC Path and EPIC
• Prior Experience working directly with research faculty
