The University of California - San Francisco Campus and Health seeks a Financial Analyst responsible for assisting with financial analysis to support decision making. This role requires strong financial knowledge, organizational and communication skills.
While primarily remote, onsite presence is expected a few times a year for meetings. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and experience in finance or a relevant field.
The Financial Analyst reports to the Controller for the Department of Medicine (DOM) and is responsible for assisting with financial analysis to support decision making. This position requires the ability to execute work accurately and independently and to function effectively under the stress of competing priorities. Assignments are often given on a project basis and the incumbent is expected to gather and sort information from multiple sources, and to present the finished product in a clear and concise manner. In addition, it is often the responsibility of the incumbent to apply certain knowledge and/or training to identify issues and solve problems. The Financial Analyst is also expected to demonstrate professionalism, diplomacy, and exercise good judgement within defined procedures and practices, and apply organizational policies and procedures to resolve various issues. This person works on problems of limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors.
While the position will be primarily offsite/remote there is an expectation to come onsite as needed (i.e., few times/year, team meeting/retreats, etc.).
