The Financial Services Analyst supports the Division of Student Affairs by performing financial and administrative operations. The role focuses on the Student Enrollment & Success cluster, provides backup to other clusters, and conducts ongoing financial analysis, reporting, and tracking. Responsibilities include maintaining financial databases, general ledger auditing, procurement approval, processing transactions, developing and reviewing business procedures, and providing training and support to staff. Advanced analytical and organizational skills are required to ensure efficient operations, confidentiality, and compliance with university policies.

Hybrid Work: Hybrid work schedule may be considered after the probationary period and upon approval by the Division of Student Affairs. Employees must be available for office attendance as needed.
The analyst performs financial analysis, reporting, and tracking; maintains databases; conducts general ledger auditing and reconciliation; approves procurement; processes a range of financial transactions; and applies UC policies to ensure compliance. The role collaborates across campus to improve procedures, provides training, manages complex confidential projects, and operates under competing deadlines.
60% Financial Analysis/Reporting: Strategic planning, budget comparison, fiscal projections, general ledger reconciliation, expense transfers, and monitoring of financial activity. Works with campus systems (e.g., FinHub) to ensure data accuracy and compliance. 30% Financial Processing & Operational Analysis: Procurement functions, policy compliance, invoice approval, FlexCard management, travel and entertainment oversight, and collaboration with the Student Affairs Business & Administration team. 10% Other Duties: Participation in meetings, administrative and financial support, telephone reception, correspondence preparation, system familiarity, and special projects as assigned.
