General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) invites applications for an AI & Automation Engineer to join the Finance Solutions team in Poway, CA. The role leads AI-enabled automation projects across Finance & Administration, leveraging AI, ML, LLMs, RAG, and data analytics to deliver value.

You will partner with FS, ITS, and business units to translate requirements into scalable solutions, build data pipelines in Python and Azure, integrate with SAP, and ensure compliance and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; 5+ years AI/ML production experience.
• 5+ years developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML applications in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud AI services (Azure AI, Azure ML).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions including LLMs, agents, and predictive models.
• Apply prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance AI tools.
• Use ML methods to improve model accuracy, data management, and automation performance.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting to translate workflows into scalable AI solutions.
• Augment and optimize journal entry automation, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Integrate AI and automation with SAP and other financial platforms.
• Ensure AI implementations meet compliance, security, and governance standards.
• Build data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Azure services.
• Leverage Power BI to visualize insights and track automation performance.
• Define KPIs and report on AI initiative success.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle from concept through rollout and continuous improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
