Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) is seeking a senior program manager to direct all phases of automation autonomy and AI development for GA-ASI aircraft, in both lab and field settings.

The role emphasizes DoD contract experience, security clearance, and collaboration with external customers, with a strong focus on flight testing and deployment of advanced autonomous systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in engineering or related field plus 11+ years program experience
• Experience developing/fielding automation autonomy and AI systems
• Must have DoD contract experience and ability to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of the program from inception through completion for automation autonomy and AI on GA-ASI aircraft
• Execute internal and customer funded development and test efforts in lab and field
• Apply knowledge of current automation autonomy and AI capabilities for deployment
• Oversee flight testing and operations related to automation autonomy and AI
• Work with pod-based automation autonomy and AI systems
