Qualifications

• Four and a half years of related professional finance operations and administration experience, preferably in the public sector, including at least one year of supervisory or program management experience.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the assigned program area, such as business administration, public administration, economics, finance or a closely related field.
• Must pass a police background investigation.
• Knowledge of budget preparation and administration, contracting, and financial management.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff, and effectively communicate with executives and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work activities and projects to Finance staff and monitors workflow and project status.
• Plans and organizes assignments to achieve objectives and schedules; ensures training and staff development.
• Supervises and evaluates assigned staff; handles disciplinary actions and grievance responses.
• Plans, prioritizes, coordinates, and reviews work of professional and clerical staff.
• Oversees financial analysis, grants reporting, and budget development within the Police Department.
