Qualifications

• CPA degree desired; however sufficient formal accounting education and experience to provide the required knowledge and skills.
• Proficient in Sage and Excel; familiarity with modern accounting practices and reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in the absence of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle all accounting functions including AP, AR, deposits, payroll and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement with variance analysis.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and allocate expenses per budget.
• Manage retirement benefits and tracking of paid time off.
• Reconcile bank, Merrill Lynch and credit card statements; monitor cash balances.
• Provide information to CPA for annual audit and maintain financial policies.
• Oversee invoices for subscriptions and purchase orders; update client subscriptions data.
