Job summary

Therma-Stor in Madison, WI is seeking an entry-level Accounting Support team member to assist the Finance department with daily administrative and accounting activities. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment and is ideal for building foundational accounting skills.

The successful candidate will be organized, eager to learn, and comfortable handling financial data, invoices, and records while supporting efficiency within the Finance team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry and coding
• Support account reconciliations and maintenance of accounting records
• Assist with data entry and validation of financial information
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper accounting documents
• Support month-end closing activities and reporting processes
• Help prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial schedules
• Research and resolve basic invoice or payment discrepancies
• Assist with vendor setup and record maintenance
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management
• Support special accounting and finance projects as assigned
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
• Assist with Audit requests.
