Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's Financial & Accounting Outsourcing internship offers hands-on experience in a leading accounting and advisory firm. You will assist in research, analysis, and workflow documentation while supporting client projects and internal teams.

The program targets undergraduates or graduates pursuing accounting or finance degrees. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with a CPA being preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance; CPA is preferred.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Professionalism and good communication skills.
• Leadership with teamwork and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a member of the team by proactively supporting goals.
• Conduct research and qualitative analysis for the team or client.
• Perform quantitative analysis using MS Excel and related tools.
• Work with team members and clients at all levels and manage expectations.
• Get trained on various electronic tools and processes.
• Assess best practices in cloud computing, technology, and accounting systems.
• Create accounting workflow and process maps for current and new processes.
• Document policies and procedures for clients' businesses.
• Assist with accounts receivable/payable and bank reconciliations.
• Balance sheet reconciliation and improvement of write-up processes.
• Work with regulatory compliance, Excel modeling and pivot tables.
