Job summary

Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP seeks a Manager of Accounting and Finance in downtown Los Angeles, CA. You will lead accounting personnel, optimize the Elite 3E platform, and oversee invoicing, AR/AP, and financial reporting to support executive decision-making.

The role requires CPA and at least 8 years in accounting, including 5 years in a law firm; MBA is a plus. Strong Excel/Word skills and audits experience are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA is required; MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Elite 3E including billing, AR, GL and reporting; 3E implementations/upgrades a plus.
• Experience handling audit requests from clients, insurers, and regulators including trust account audits and e-billing reviews.
• At least 5 years previously working in a law firm.
• At least 8 years experience in an accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting personnel and promote a culture of communication, mentoring, and teamwork.
• Oversee the firm’s Elite 3E platform, including implementation, upgrades, or cloud migration where applicable; manage monthly client invoicing.
• Handle accounts payable & receivable; ensure trust account and banking compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze financial data; monitor expenses and manage cash.
• Coordinate audit processes with CPA firm; respond to audit requests and regulatory inquiries.
