Job summary

tbo is seeking a strategic Finance & Accounting leader to build and manage a growing department that supports our clients and global operations. You will drive controls, accuracy, and scalable systems while partnering with leadership to improve decision making through robust financial information.

You will oversee accounting operations, HR coordination with finance, and process automation initiatives, including SOPs and AI-enabled reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced QuickBooks Online experience.
• Experience leading month-end close.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Experience improving accounting processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-growing entrepreneurial company.
• Experience managing remote teams is preferred.
• Experience overseeing, partnering closely with, or managing a Human Resources generalist function is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance & Accounting function with executive oversight for HR.
• Coach, mentor, and develop three direct reports: AR Billing, AP Billing, and HR Generalist.
• Create scalable finance systems to support company growth.
• Month-end close, financial statements, GL accuracy, bank reconciliations, AP/AR.
• Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and KPI reporting.
• Executive financial reporting and profitability analyses.
• Lead HR oversight: policies, priorities, KPIs, and coordination with Finance.
• Drive SOPs, automation, and AI-enabled reporting where appropriate.
