Job summary

Sully-Miller Contracting Co., a Colas USA subsidiary, is offering a Finance/Accounting Intern position in Southern California. The role supports the Accounting/Finance team with month-end closings, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations during the internship program.

The intern will perform data entry in JD Edwards and related systems, build financial reports, and participate in special projects under the guidance of Controllers, Payroll Manager or CFO.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accounting, finance, or business administration degree program.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• A demeanor for continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Assist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliations.
• Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Perform data entry into accounting systems (JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, OnBase).
• Run and build financial reports.
• Participate in special projects as directed by Controllers, Payroll Manager or CFO.
• Assist Accounting with other general functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
