Job summary

Sully-Miller Contracting Co., a Colas USA subsidiary, offers a Summer 2027 Finance/Accounting Internship in Brea, California. The intern will support the Accounting/Finance team with month-end closings, reporting, and budgeting as part of the internship program.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in accounting, finance, or business administration and proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Pay is $26 per hour with exposure to JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, and OnBase.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in accounting, finance, or business administration degree.
Strong MS Office and communication skills.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization and improve processes.

Responsibilities

Assist with month-end and quarterly closings, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Assist with accounts receivable, payable, and bank reconciliations.
Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Enter data into accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Citrix/HeavyJob, ADRA, and OnBase.
Run and build financial reports.
Support special projects as directed by Controllers, Payroll Manager, or CFO.
Support the Accounting department with general accounting functions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
