Job summary

Sharpe Engineering & Equipment seeks a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead financial health, project-based revenue recognition, and margin management across business lines. This role owns accounting, risk, cash flow, and strategic finance initiatives while partnering with operations, HR, and the PMO.

Reporting to the President, the director shapes budgets, forecasts, Board reporting, and the company’s growth strategy, including integration of financial policies into the BOS and

Qualifications

• Plan, implement, manage, and control all financial activities of the company, and lead and develop the accounting team.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses, and present results at the monthly management review.
• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process, and report performance against plan.
• Lead financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration with outside advisors.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, manage, and control all financial activities of the company and lead the accounting team.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses and present results to the Board and management.
• Oversee ASC 606 project revenue recognition, WIP, and margin tracking across projects.
• Manage treasury, banking relationships, cash flow, and insurance programs.
• Lead acquisition due diligence, integration, and financial risk controls.
