Sharpe Engineering is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead financial health, risk management, and project-based performance across our growing company in Alabama. You will own accounting, revenue recognition under ASC 606, cash flow, banking relationships, and insurance programs, while guiding the finance team and partnering with leadership on growth initiatives.

The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, supporting acquisition activities, budgeting, and KPI

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 5+ years in senior finance leadership.
• Hands-on ASC 606 project revenue recognition, including percentage-of-completion, WIP, and job costing.
• Experience managing banking relationships, debt covenants, audits, insurance, and board reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, implement, manage, and control all financial activities of the company, and lead and develop the accounting team.
• Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast process, and report performance against plan.
• Shape and execute acquisition strategy; screen targets and build financial models and deal returns analyses.
• Own project-based revenue recognition under ASC 606 and report project gross margin against estimate.
• Drive cash flow forecasting, collections, and working capital optimization.
• Maintain internal controls, GAAP compliance, and relations with auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial input to S&OP process and own BOS SOPs and training for project budgeting and billing.
