Job summary

Synectics Inc. in the Midwest is seeking an Accounting Clerk 3 to support our livestock procurement accounting team. The role focuses on data entry, report preparation, and invoice verification in a detail-oriented environment.

You will enter and audit data, assist with records management, and provide service to internal clients and suppliers. A high school diploma and data entry experience are required, with transferable accounting experience welcomed.

• Compile data and prepare, review, and audit a variety of reports.
• Enter data or use technology tools to upload data into the computer system using defined computer programs.
• Provide customer service to internal clients, suppliers and customers.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records, including detailed financial transactions.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues.

• Shift Time : 7 AM - 3 PM CT. Willing and able to work flexible schedules including Saturdays as needed by the business.
• The Accounting Clerk 3 will perform a variety of support tasks in our livestock procurement accounting department.
• We seek a detail-oriented individual with basic financial business knowledge to conduct tasks using standard procedures.
• Compile data and prepare, review, and audit a variety of reports.
• Enter data or use technology tools to upload data into the computer system using defined computer programs.
• Contribute to implementing and developing our records information management policies and best practices.
• Provide customer service to internal clients, suppliers and customers.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records, including detailed financial business transactions.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
• Willing and able to work flexible schedules including Saturdays as needed by the business.
• Good learning aptitude, work ethic, accuracy and reliability.
• Data Entry experience
• Ten-Key Data Entry experience would be a plus
